Caio Borralho thinks 2026 and beyond will be smooth sailing for The Fighting Nerds.
Borralho will have a chance to help prove it when he meets Reinier de Ridder at UFC 326 on Saturday. It’s a chance for Borralho to rebound after a unanimous decision loss to Nassourdine Imavov back in Sept. 2025. Borralho remains near the top of the middleweight rankings, and a win over de Ridder could put him closer to a top five spot.
Speaking to reporters during the UFC 326 media day conference, Borralho vowed that his Fighting Nerds team will complete the process of returning to form (h/t MMAJunkie).
“Yeah, it’s the comeback season, and nobody is going to stop that,” Borralho said at Wednesday’s UFC 326 media day. “We got back with our team. We got the connection back. We put our feet on the ground a little more, and you guys are seeing the results. I’m just proud of the guys. I’m happy for them. I was the first one to get into the UFC, and I will be the last one to complete the comeback season.”
The likes of Carlos Prates, Jean Silva, and Mauricio Ruffy have all rebounded from their recent loses. The Fighting Nerds members showed that their camp still has plenty of fight left. Still, there is some underlying tension between Silva and Ruffy over splitting time with another gym, but Borralho has been attempting to bring the two together.
